DEA will apply a new incentive model during the Dvalin drilling campaign in 2019. The model can realize significantly increased productivity and HSE performance.

DEA Senior Procurement Advisor Rig Intake in Norway, John Bleka, and Dr.Jörg Peterson with the Special Projects and Research department in Hamburg, set up an R&D project and matured the concept fit DEA and the Dvalin project. This week DEA signed an agreement with developer Energy Dynamics to enhance and apply the model during the Dvalin drilling campaign planned for 2019.

"The main objective of the model is to facilitate cooperation and collaboration between all parties involved in the drilling campaign. In this way, we will improve our HSE performance and reduce time and cost to complete drilling operations, through a dynamic incentive arrangement. The model aligns the rig owner's and service companies' goals with DEA's goals", explains DEA Drilling Manager in Norway, Tore Øian.
